Last week we celebrated as the first round of students from the inaugural Lunchbox for Learning program graduated. Lunchbox for Learning is a 10-session food preparation course funded by Coordinare. It is delivered by Kiama Community College with the support of SCARF volunteers.
The Lunchbox for Learning program is focused on supporting parents of school aged children build their food literacy and capacity to prepare healthy lunches and snacks for their children as well as providing support to make better food choices at home. Each student received a nationally recognised statement of attainment which can be counted towards a Certificate II in Hospitality.
