Celebrate the diverse artworks of local artist, Najla Sbei who is originally from Damascus, Syria, where she worked as a high school teacher.
Najla was forced to leave Syria in 2012, and was resettled as a refugee entrant in Wollongong, Australia, in 2015. Najla is now working in the community sector and paints in her free time. Najla says that art is “something that I enjoy doing and a talent that helped me to express my feelings no matter what they are.”
